Coolie runs 1800 Angus cows comprising of 300 stud cows. The stud genetics originated with cows being bought from Landfall and Ardrossan herds with an infusion of TeMania blood. These genetics have been complemented with Millah Murrah and Stern (NZ) Angus genetics to produce the premium article that we have today.
We run autumn and spring embryo transfer programs and we artificially inseminate to keep up with the latest genetics available world wide, as well as use our own bulls. Our aim is to produce moderate, thick, early maturing cattle that show great depth and temperament. Our cattle perform on grass and grain and we target the Meat Standards Australia (MSA) Premium market. We have recently been named as one of the top 2% MSA producers in NSW.
